Banyan Hyde Park Team
Lisa Richardson, MS, CAP, CRRA
Originally from Pennsylvania, Lisa left home at 18 years old to attend Evangel University in Springfield, MO where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She later went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Business at Missouri State University. Lisa has been a manager in social services for 20 years, and has been responsible for several start-ups, acquisitions, and expansions within the addiction field. Lisa was also an adjunct instructor at a State University, where she taught leadership skills to graduating seniors.
When asked why Lisa chose to work in the addiction treatment industry, she says she didn’t choose this field, it chose her. Being a first generation college graduate who grew up around addiction, Lisa understands how families can be impacted by generational habits, addictions, and patterns. She recognizes that one transformed life has the power to impact generations of families, children, and communities to come, giving her life and purpose.
Valerie Deacy, RN
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Valerie lived in Key West in her 20s and has been in Tampa, FL for the past 4 years. She obtained her AAS in Nursing from Kingsborough Community College and is currently pursuing her APRN at Chamberlain University. Working in the field of behavioral health and psychiatric nursing, it was a natural transition for Valerie to begin her work in the field of addiction treatment. Before coming to Banyan Hyde Park, Valerie worked as a staff nurse at another treatment facility. She was soon promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing, a position she held for 2 years. Valerie has always loved her work as a nurse, but finds addiction treatment especially rewarding. She says the greatest gift is seeing the spark return to someone’s eyes and watching their lives transform.
Heather was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and began working in the addiction field in 2012. Working for a non-profit organization, she knew immediately that this is what she was supposed to be doing. Heather finds this work to be extremely fulfilling and loves watching the change that happens in the women that come to Hyde Park. She believes having a strong support system is vital to ongoing recovery, and is grateful to play a small part in such an important time in these women’s lives.
Liz Hall, MS, LMHC
Growing up, Liz lived in upstate New York, central Florida, and Puerto Rico. She attended Walden University where she obtained her MS in Mental Health Counseling. Liz brings vast knowledge and expertise to the Banyan Hyde Park team, as she has experience in various sectors of social services. Liz worked in the foster care system and soon after became a certified adoption specialist, helping families in the process of adoption. Additionally, Liz worked in the corrections field, helping men and women who struggled with co-occurring diagnoses. Working in the corrections system, Liz was exposed to a population of individuals that had not received the necessary care and services for substance use and mental health disorders. This experience led Liz to want to work with individuals who were at risk of being in similar positions. Liz is motivated by the belief that she can be a blessing to someone in need and enjoys seeing the growth in each woman that comes to Hyde Park.
Dawn Pacheco, MS
Dawn was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and has been working in the addiction field for over 5 years. She began her career with a local nonprofit behavioral health agency before coming to Banyan Hyde Park. Dawn attended Springfield College, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and Master’s Degree in Organizational Management and Leadership. Although Dawn has not personally struggled with addiction, she understands the impact it can have on individuals and their families, as her father struggled with addiction for the majority of his life. He unfortunately lost his battle to addiction in December 2009. At Banyan Hyde Park, Dawn hopes to be a support not only for the clients, but also for the families while the loved ones are in our care.
Our mission, your recovery.

"My experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff is excellent, they all went way out of their way to help me with whatever I needed. They gave me the tools i needed to succeed, and were always there for me when I completed the program and when I fell short. Thank you so much Banyan!"

"Banyan was able to help me more than words can describe. They helped me save my life. I called in not really knowing what to expect or anything about treatment and the people I spoke with were able to walk me through every step of the way."
